Cricket Blast
Cricket Blast is a super fun, social, safe, cricket program for boys and girls aged 5 to 10. The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. Games are always at Alan Edwards Reserve. All the equipment is supplied, and players will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack.

Junior Competition
Junior Cricket is perfect for kids with basic cricket skills. Modified formats change as the kids grow, helping them transition to adult cricket. Less players on the field means more action for players. Shorter pitch lengths and boundaries means more runs, wickets and better skill development. Games last between two and four hours depending on the age group. Games are on weekends, with training during the week.

All Girls League

The Integrated Cricket Leagues provides an opportunity players to play a modified format, aimed at those with less cricket skills, experience or confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions
What age group should I register?
The age groups are determined based on the age as at 30 June of the current year. PlayHQ will automatically assign the correct age group at time of registration.
What equipment do I need?
The club makes available all playing equipment for every age group. Should you decide to invest in any equipment, we recommend starting with gloves and an abdominal guard. Therafter, consider a helmet and pads. While a bat is an exciting purchase, we strongly recommend that if you choose to purchase a bat it is of a suitable weight and size to for the childs age and physical ability.
Can my child play in a higher age group?
Players may play up one year in age group at the Club's discretion. Beyond that specific the Community Junior Cricket dispensation policy applies. This refers to extenuating circumstances and consider specific safety guidelines.
